About the Event
By becoming a Gundalow volunteer, you join over 140 community members who are helping protect the marine environment and maritime heritage of the Piscataqua Region by donating their skills, energy and time. Our program takes over 2,000 students and over 6,000 members of the public out on the water each year and we couldn’t do it without our volunteers. We provide each volunteer with training and support as well as host many social and educational events for volunteers throughout the year.
This 2 hour training will introduce you to the Gundalow Companies mission and history, review the process for becoming a volunteer and get you aboard the Gundalow at the dock to review on the water safety procedures. In addition to our deckhand volunteers we also welcome volunteers for a variety of other topics including office work, program education, rowing with campers, event planning and more. If you are interested in these opportunities, you can plan to attend the first 40 minutes to get an overview of our organization.
