About the Event
Join us in harvesting and transplanting native dune vegetation to restore fragile habitat in Hampton, NH!
Dunes are an important asset to our coastline. They provide habitat for wildlife, and protect our communities from flooding, sea level rise, and coastal erosion.
For the first half of the event, we'll be harvesting plants at the common garden at Hampton Beach State Park. From there, we will carpool to Sun Valley Beach (over the bridge) and transplant. Space is limited due to the fragility and size of the planting area, so don't hesitate to sign up!
Come learn about this unique habitat, get sandy, and have fun!
What to bring
All tools, gloves, and water will be provided. Please dress for the weather, hat and sunscreen are a must! Snacks and water bottles are encouraged.
