About the Event
Be part of building a brand-new trail connection at Pawtuckaway—help shape the route from the parking area to the Mountain Trailhead.
Join us at Pawtuckaway State Park for a hands-on National Trails Day project focused on creating a new trail connection from the parking area to the Mountain Trailhead.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a trail from the ground up—helping create a new route that will benefit visitors for years to come. Volunteers will work together using hand tools like shovels, rakes, and loppers to shape the trail corridor, improve the walking surface, and establish a clear, durable, and sustainable path. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to learn and contribute.
You won’t just be raking an old trail—you’ll be helping to create one.
As part of National Trails Day, you’ll be joining a nationwide effort to care for and expand access to trails across the country—all in a single day.
