About the Event
In 2025 we started planting a Germplasm Conservation Orchard at McKeon Farm with wild American chestnuts harvested from productive trees in the CT forests. We will plant more trees from nuts we harvested last fall and put up protective deer fencing.
What to bring
Work gloves, water and snack if needed. Also consider sun screen and tick repellant.
Youth Instructions
Children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult
