About the Event
Join a hands-on trail project in the Monadnock Region to help improve an all-persons trail—making the outdoors more accessible for everyone.
Be part of a meaningful National Trails Day project at Rhododendron State Park in Fitzwilliam, where volunteers will work together to improve a trail designed to welcome people of all abilities.
This is a hands-on, beginner-friendly trail work day focused on moving and shaping trail material. Volunteers will use wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes, and tampers to help build a more durable and accessible trail surface.
No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to jump in and be part of a team effort. By volunteering on this project, you’re helping ensure that more people—regardless of age or ability—can enjoy the outdoors.
This project is about more than maintenance. It’s about creating access and leaving a lasting impact on a place that serves the entire community.
As part of National Trails Day, you’ll also be contributing to a nationwide effort to care for and improve public trails—all in a single day.
