About the Event

Feb 13-15th Is AMC’s SnowBlitz Weekend! Help us document the snow depth anywhere you winter recreate!

Join the many warm boots on the trails, in your back yards or town forests, to stop at an undisturbed patch of the white stuff and measure how deep the snow pack is. Simply take 3-4 measurements (in cm) with an avalanche probe, yardstick, or any other measuring device and enter the average as "Snowpack Height" in the free Snow Scope app. This works helps make snow depth models more accurate, so we can better predict where snow is and how it will melt out- impacting recreation, agriculture, and flooding.

What to bring

A measurement device such as an avalanche probe, yardstick, or ruler.
