About the Event

From Sunday June 22 - Saturday June 28, NH Audubon is hosting the first annual NH Audubon Nature Challenge. We are looking for volunteers to visit one of over 20 included wildlife sanctuaries, and using iNaturalist and eBird, record and submit observations for all the species you are seeing: birds, mammals, reptiles, insects, amphibians, trees, shrubs, flowers, mushrooms, mosses, and more! NH Audubon manages 40 wildlife sanctuaries throughout the state, encompassing over 8,000 acres of protected habitat. We need your help to create a lands inventory for our properties to make important management decisions that will support wildlife even better. Please visit https://nhaudubon.org/center-and-events/nh-audubon-nature-challenge/ to learn more.

What to bring

Please keep safety first and foremost in mind. Bring a cell phone or camera, appropriate footwear, a hat and sunblock, water, and protective gear against biting insects and ticks.

Youth Instructions

This is a great volunteer opportunity for groups or families. Youth should visit the sanctuary with a guardian for safety.
