About the Event
We’re taking back the riverfront and taking down invasive species. Together, we’ll be working to: remove invasive barberry, honeysuckle, bittersweet and burning bush by hand pulling and use of hand tools. Disturbed areas will be tamped to help reduce soil bank repopulation. The focus is to return this beautiful section to the public as a day use area. It's truly a beautiful peninsula along a beautiful stretch of the Pemigewasset River. No special experience is needed—just come ready to work and get a little dirty!
Whether you’ve volunteered with us before or this is your first time, we’d love to have you join the take back!
The October 25 workday includes a volunteer appreciation cookout after!
