About the Event

Get your hands dirty with Harris Center ecologists Karen Seaver and Brett Amy Thelen during an afternoon of ecological restoration. Together, we’ll plant native starts and seeds (especially milkweeds) in a small field near Silver Lake, in hopes of supporting local pollinator biodiversity. We’ll also learn how to identify some of the invasive plants that might be found in our own gardens and fields, along with some techniques to mitigate their spread. Seeds will be provided.

3:30 to 5:30 p.m. near Silver Lake in Harrisville. Location details will be provided upon registration.

Rain date: May 19. Registration is required.

For more information, including questions about accessibility, contact Brett.

Co-sponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education and Seaver Farm.
