About the Event

Help the staff at Bear Brook State Park improve the trails & camping experience. With the help of volunteers like you, we aim to create a bypass trail that will divert multi-use trail traffic away from campsites - creating a better flow for hikers, bikers, and folks on horse-back and a more private experience for people in their campsite. Tasks include: duffing out the new trail, cutting roots and saplings, moving road signs, installing blazes, and painting a crosswalk.

What to bring

All tools provided by NH State Parks. Please bring a pair of gloves and food and water for your volunteer day. Boots recommended, but long pants and closed-toe shoes are mandatory.

Youth Instructions

This volunteer day is not appropriate for small children, but teens are welcome. Please contact DNCR.volunteer@dncr.nh.gov for youth volunteer forms which MUST be filed prior to the volunteer day.
