About the Event
Join Essex County Greenbelt for some hands on impact caring for our community gardens! This community garden clean up day will help us close down Dodge Farm Community Garden in Wenham for the season and prepare for 2026. Volunteers are welcome to come whenever they are available between 9:30am-2:00pm. Projects may include repairing and constructing raised garden beds, repairing fences, removing weeds and invasive plants, removing fallen tree branches, putting away communal equipment for the season, and any other necessary maintenance in the garden and on the former tree nursery property. All skill levels are welcome and instruction will be provided by Greenbelt Stewardship staff. Greenbelt will provide work gloves, tools, and snacks! Accessibility Notes: Parking is a very short walk to the project site. Most tasks will require bending over and some light to moderate lifting. Work will occur over grass, gravel trails, and wood chip surfaces. Final project details will be shared the week of the event. Thank you for helping us take care of these beloved community gardens!
What to bring
Work gloves, closed toed shoes, water bottle, sunscreen, bugspray, any other personal items. Greenbelt will provide all tools and will have gloves available for volunteers.
