About the Event

Participants will learn hands-on dimensional lumber bridge construction techniques and help build a new bridge on a trail. Building bridges will prevent wet feet, protect trails from erosion and help water quality. Project location will involve hiking up to 3 miles total. Work will include moving heavy stringers and installing new decking while working in and around a wet buggy area.

What to bring

Please bring your daypack, hiking/work boots, water bottle, bug spray and work gloves (we have spares if you don't have any). Tools and equipment needed will be provided. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided after event.

Youth Instructions

Youth volunteers are welcome to attend all Community Work Days, but must be accompanied by parent or guardian for the duration of the event
