About the Event

Participants will learn hands-on dimensional lumber bridge construction techniques and build a new bridge on designated Hike & Bike trail. Building bridges will prevent wet feet, protect trails from erosion and help water quality. Project location will involve hiking up to 2 miles total. Work will include moving heavy stringers and installing new decking while working in and around a wet buggy area. Snacks and refreshments will be provided after the event.

What to bring

Please bring your hiking/work boots (muck boots preferred), water bottle, bug spray and work gloves (we have spares if you don't have any). All tools and equipment needed will be provided by Mt A.

Youth Instructions

Youth volunteers are welcome to attend the event, but must be accompanied by Parent/Guardian for the entirety of the experience.
