About the Event
Help pick up litter around Dover in honor of Earth Day! This event features a friendly competition between Dover's six wards, with the three wards having the most participants earning "bragging rights" and a group trophy.
How it works:
Volunteers should show up by 9:15 AM wearing safety vests or bright clothing and appropriate walking shoes. BRING GLOVES, and if available, a litter collection tool and/or a wagon. All volunteers should sign-in.
First time participants will complete a volunteer service agreement if they haven't already done so (Save time! Print, complete and bring with you). Previous participants who've already completed a volunteer service agreement do not need to fill out another.
Volunteers will receive bags and directions from site leaders, then spend just under an hour collecting litter in their ward. They will return to their ward location shortly before 10:30 AM with litter collected.
Litter will be consolidated and then a group photo will be taken at 10:30 AM.
What to bring
Arrive wearing a safety vest or bright clothing, glove, and appropriate walking shoes. If you have a litter tool and/or a wagon, bring it.
Youth Instructions
