About the Event

Celebrate Earth Day at Brookside Farm Museum on April 25, 2026!

Brought to you by Brookside Farm Museum and Swamp Yankee Earthcare, this community gathering invites neighbors of all ages to explore practical, local ways to care for the Earth.

Set on Brookside’s historic 40-acre Town-owned site in East Lyme, the day will feature hands-on workshops, environmental demonstrations, native plant education, local makers and growers, and opportunities to connect with others committed to sustainability. Learn about invasive species removal (including volunteer opportunities to manage invasive plants), biodiversity restoration, pollinator support, and simple steps families can take at home to strengthen our regional ecosystem.

This is not just a festival—it’s a working celebration of stewardship, where history, land, and community come together.

Come ready to learn, participate, and leave inspired!

What to bring

Clothes that can get dirty, gloves, eye protection. If you have loppers, clippers, or other tools appropriate for manual invasive species management, please bring those too.
