About the Event
Three pocket forest sites in Ayer and Devens have been recently planted to increase community resilience and connect people with nature. We are delighted to invite the public to an upcoming (free!) public workday, where you will have an opportunity to learn about the pocket forest project, plant additional plants, spread mulch, and remove invasives and weeds. We will meet at the pocket forest behind the School.
Learn more about the project here.
What to bring
Tools, work gloves, insect repellant, and light refreshments are provided, however you may also bring your own. Tools most commonly used are shovels and pruners. Long sleeves, long pants, hat, closed shoes, and drinking water are recommended.
