That's a Wrap!
My ten weeks as an intern have absolutely flown by! I started this summer with no idea what to expect, but this internship has been better than I could have ever imagined. Every day was a new and different experience, allowing me to gain valuable skills that I will be able to carry with me through my last year of school and into my future career. Through this internship, I have made so many amazing connections and met so many inspiring people.
As my time here comes to a close, I would like to thank UNH Cooperative Extension, the UNH Office of Woodlands and Natural Areas, Southeast Land Trust of New Hampshire, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service out of Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, and of course the Stewardship Network: New England, for providing me with ten weeks of incredible and valuable experiences. Specifically, I would like to thank my Stewardship Network mentor, Malin Clyde, Nancy Pau (UWFWS), Emma Tutein (UNHCE / TrailFinder), Steve Eisenhaure (UNH Woodlands), and Phil Auger (SELT), and many others for welcoming me and teaching me about what you do every day.
I would also like to thank all of you who have taken the time to keep up with my stories this summer! I encourage you to continue to volunteer for nature, or if this is something new to you, sign up for the Nature Groupie's weekly email, which will keep you updated with events that you can help out with! The calendar of events is continually expanding and can provide great opportunities to step outside of your comfort zone, try something new, and make a difference!
On to the next adventure!
