Morgan Martelle

Summer Intern, 2017

My name is Morgan Martel and I am the summer intern for the Stewardship Network: New England. This fall, I will be going into my senior year in the Wildlife and Conservation Biology program. This summer, I have the exciting opportunity to work on a very diverse array of projects with various conservation organizations.

I will be working with:

I am from Grafton, MA, but I spent a great deal of my childhood visiting family and vacationing in New Hampshire. In my free time, you can find me hiking up in the White Mountains, paddling around in my kayak, biking the trails around Durham, or just hanging out in my hammock with my dog. My passion for the outdoors and great admiration for nature is what initially inspired my interest in the wildlife field.

Last summer I spent five weeks in New Zealand through UNH’s EcoQuest program, taking courses and gaining field experience, which furthered my interest in the environmental policy and conservation side of things. After I graduate, I’m undecided as to what exactly I would like to do, but the diversity of projects that I will be working on this summer may give me some insight as to what I may specifically be interested in pursuing.

I am very excited for this incredible experience!
