About the Event
Ever wonder exactly what you are looking at in the woods? Then this workshop is for you! Led by Greg Jordan, UNH Cooperative Extension, we will explore Atkinson's Sawyer Town Forest as we learn how to identify specific types of trees and invasive plants. Free and open to the public - no registration required. Rain or shine unless there is lightning or dangerous wind. Park on Sawyer Avenue facing Route 121, and pull off the pavement as far as possible.
What to bring
Wear sturdy shoes and insect repellent. Bring water, and (if possible) wear long pants that can be tucked under your socks to help avoid ticks.
Youth Instructions
Children are welcome, but those under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
