About the Event

Loved by many - the Powder Major's Forest in Madbury/Lee/Durham has a network of year-round trails open to the public.

Just 2 1/2 miles from the UNH campus and sandwiched between Powder Major's Farm and Tuckaway Farm is a wonderful place to take a walk, get away for an hour, or spend the day in the wonderment of forest.

On Wednesday & Thursday October 20 & 21 - join Forest Society staff and local volunteer land stewards for a day of trailwork to keep these beloved trails open to all. We've got a few projects lined up and will be providing tools, gloves, and hot cider for all who volunteer.

What to bring

Bring a lunch, snacks, & water, and backpack to carry all your stuff. Wear long pants, closed toe shoes, and dress in layers so you can peel clothes off or put back on as you start to heat up and cool down.

Youth Instructions

Volunteers under the age of 16 are required to have a parent/guardian or other adult chaperone.
