About the Event

In this field-based workshop, you’ll learn how to identify and describe the components of wildlife habitat and how those components function as habitat for vertebrate and invertebrate creatures. You’ll learn how to assess your land’s habitat and make your land more attractive to a variety of wildlife. We’ll also discuss how to identify trees, shrubs, and annual and perennial plants and how these plants function as wildlife habitat. Before the workshop, please watch this video to learn the important concepts we’ll apply in the field during the workshop: An Introduction to Wildlife Habitat Assessment & Management at https://youtu.be/oaMq4_LkgcQ The workshop will be led by Matt Tarr, Extension Professor & State Wildlife Habitat Specialist – UNH Cooperative Extension, at Burley Farms in Epping, a Southeast Land Trust property.
