About the Event
Once a month, volunteers go out to the beach and measure the slope and contours of the sand. There are three profile lines monitored at Laudholm Beach. The data is recorded and sent to the Maine Geological Survey to assist in research and management decisions.
What to bring
Dress for the weather, wear footwear that you don't mind getting a little wet, and remember sunscreen.
Youth Instructions
Minors are welcome to participate with a signed waiver from a parent/guardian. We generally recommend profiling for ages 13 and up.
