About the Event
Come join us for regular volunteer workdays at Mass Audubon's Habitat Education Center and Wildlife Sanctuary! We will be removing invasive plant species like buckthorn and bittersweet in order to restore native forest and meadow habitats.
Parking: There is parking at the sanctuary, but we always encourage carpooling as we have a small lot! Park in the gravel lot outside the visitor center. We are a 1 mile walk/bike ride from the Belmont T Station, and 1 mile from the Park Ave bus stop (Route 78). Meet at the log circle.
What to bring
Dress for the weather (long pants and sleeves preferred to prevent exposure to poison ivy), and bring water, snacks, sunscreen, hats, etc as needed. Tools will be provided, but it is always helpful if you bring your own gloves. We will meet by the front circle near the main house before we get started.
Youth Instructions
13 and up.
