About the Event

Members of the UNH community are invited to join a spring clean up as part of the Great New England Cleanup 2021, April 17-25, 2021. This 10-day regional campaign is part of the Earth Day Great Global Cleanup happening worldwide this spring. Anyone with the (free) mobile app can participate, but the following community events allow you to volunteer with others!

We'll be visiting Strafford and Rosemary Avenue in Durham to pick up and track litter using the Litterati mobile app. Litterati helps log and categorize the trash you pick up from natural areas and trails near you and has led to packaging changes by corporations based on litter data, so your efforts could contribute to even more big change!

Event will take place, rain or shine, so wear outdoor gear! Open to any member of the UNH Community receiving weekly or bi-weekly COVID testing.

Space is limited to 25 participants. Meet in the municipal parking lot on Pettee Brook Lane (walking distance to UNH).

What to bring

Long pants, close-toed shoes (boots are even better), water and a snack. We will supply work gloves.

Youth Instructions

This opportunity is open to UNH students, staff and faculty receiving weekly or bi-weekly COVID testing only.
