About the Event

The second most-visited mountain in New Hampshire, Mount Major needs your help to truly shine! Join Forest Society staff and other volunteers for a day of moving rocks, digging ditches, and general muddy madness as we work to improve the trails of Mt Major. Students and others who are looking for a unique volunteer opportunity are encouraged to attend. This is the best time of year to enjoy the fall foliage and work outdoors. Skilled volunteers preferred, but we will take what we can get! Feel free to bring the kids, but please note this workday is not suitable for dogs.

What to bring

Just bring a backpack to store your lunch, water, and essentials for the day. Bring your own work-gloves if you have them! Rock bars, picks, and all the other tools and safety equipment will be provided by the Forest Society.

Youth Instructions

Youth volunteers under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult - 16 and older need parents/guardian to sign our volunteer waiver
