About the Event

Help care for trails at Gunstock! The Wetlands Walk is an accessible boardwalk that offers a self-guided walk through the wetlands.

Help with a variety of upkeep for the trails: removing leaves around wood posts, moss and lichen from the boardwalk surface, trimming branches there and on the connecting trails, minor carpentry, sanding and priming/painting the bumper for the visually impaired, and removing invasive weeds, replacing 30yr old failing support posts. Belknap County Conservation District has two pollinator gardens that need weeding.

At Gunstock which is Belknap County's Public Park, follow the posterboard signs to drive to parking at boardwalk. Please park on the gravel access road and outer edges of field to avoid interference with campsites. Thanks for your interest!!

Dress for the outdoors. Boots can be helpful but are not necessary. You may wish to bring your own gloves, bug repellent and sunblock, or tools. However we supply all of them as well as water and snacks.
