About the Event

We will replace some old and uneven bog bridging with more accessible boardwalk. We will both demolish and remove the old bridging and install new boardwalk sections in GWRLT's Douglas Memorial Woods.

This work does not require previous experience and involves light carpentry work and digging in the mud. There is a good reason for needing this bridging - it is muddy, so make sure to dress for working IN the mud and water (not deep - gum boots should be enough).

What to bring

Gum boots and clothes that can get wet and muddy. We will supply all PPE and tools, but if you have gloves you like, then bring those. Also bring water and snacks

Youth Instructions

Younger volunteers but should be supervised and be ok with digging and use of tools (nearby).
