About the Event
This volunteer project is part of the annual Monadnock Trails Week event series - an annual collaboration between NH State Parks and the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests.
Everybody wants to be on the THIC - trail-head improvement crew. This volunteer team plays a significant role in maintaining infrastructure utilized by 100,000+ visitors per year. It's an opportunity to take care and honor Mount Monadnock, without having to pack tools and equipment up the steep rocky slopes.
Running both Saturday & Sunday * July 23 & 24th * the THIC will tackle projects at various trailhead locations across the base of the mountain. Tasks include: clearing leaves to improve drainage, cutting back branches hanging over the parking lot, painting, and light carpentry.
All are welcome to join - carpool options to be determined - more details and project locations will be sent to those who register. All tools and safety equipment provided by the Forest Society & NH State Parks.
