About the Event

Join us as we transform a section of lawn at Bakersville Elementary into an oasis for pollinators. This will be the 4th Pocket Pollinator Garden in Manchester, and the 3rd installed this year alone!

Tasks involve: removing pre-existing ground cover, amending soil (spreading compost), installing native plants, and mulching beds and walkways. The end result will be a colorful, interactive garden filled with plants that provide sustenance to our native bees & butterflies while also providing a place for the students of Bakersville and the general public to experience Nature.

What to bring

Gloves, water, & sunscreen: highly advised Shovels, rakes, & garden buckets: encouraged (we will have some tools and wheel barrels available to use)

Youth Instructions
