About the Event

Join us for a day of volunteer service and fun at Mount Major Reservation. The Forest Society and Leave No Trace (LNT), along with partner organizations including the Belknap Range Conservation Coalition, Lake Region Conservation Trust, and the Belknap Range Trail Tenders, will be organizing volunteer trail projects on Mount Major's trails on Thursday June 20th as part of the Leave No Trace Hotspot Program. Mount Major was selected as a 2019 "LNT Hotspot" due to the extreme recreational pressure that the mountain receives each year. Learn about Leave No Trace principles while helping to clean up and document trash, or improve trail conditions on these busy hiking paths.

What to bring

Wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring a bag lunch and water bottle, as well as work gloves if you have them!

Youth Instructions

Youth 16-17 years of age can volunteer with signed waiver from parents/guardians. Under 16 must have guardian present and supervising.
