About the Event
In the spirit of Earth Day, join Forest Society Staff on Wednesday April 24th by helping to clean up trails on Mount Major. This annual Trash Challenge is Co-sponsored by the Belknap Range Conservation Coalition that focuses on increasing land conservation in the Belknap Range. We'll split up across all main trails to pick up litter. Volunteers can choose to participate in citizen science by logging the types of litter they collect with the Litterati app. Part of the fun is reaching the summit to take in the amazing views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the Belknap Range!
What to bring
Volunteers should bring a bag lunch, plenty of water, and work gloves if you have them.
Youth Instructions
This event is family friendly, but please consider hiking difficulty (ages 12+ are suggested). Minors 16+ need a parental permission form, and minors 12-15 need parental accompaniment.
