About the Event

Every spring juvenile American Eels, also known as elvers, start migrating from the ocean to our coastal rivers throughout NH. Coastal Research Volunteers partners with NH Fish and Game to collect data on the annual upstream migration in New Hampshire, and we are looking for new volunteers to help. Join us at the Mill Pond Dam in Durham, NH to learn about the program and see what's involved. No experience is necessary to participate. Trained eel monitoring volunteers are able to sign up to fill daily eel monitoring shifts throughout spring into July. If you are interested please don't hesitate to contact us. We love new faces!
