Nature Groupie Gets New Leadership
We (the Nature Groupie team) are excited to announce that Charlotte Thompson will take over leadership of the Nature Groupie project starting January 1, 2026.
Charlotte has been involved in every aspect of Nature Groupie since starting with Extension in 2019 as the Stewardship Outreach Program Manager. She has been behind the scenes for the last six years creating our weekly newsletter, leading our marketing efforts, and managing the significant technology behind the scenes that makes the our website work.
"I'm excited to step into this new leadership role and continue growing this community" says Charlotte. "I love connecting more people to the outdoors and working with the volunteers and partners who make Nature Groupie possible."
Malin Clyde says goodbye to UNH Extension.
At the same time, Malin, Extension Specialist, will be stepping away from the Nature Groupie team and down from her position with UNH Extension after a twenty-five-year career. Over those years, Malin has made a lasting impact on natural resource management in NH. She coordinated the NH Coverts Project, launched Nature Groupie, and developed signature programs such as the NH Invasives Academy, the NH Habitat Stewardship Series, Nature Groupie’s Stewardship Training Guides and courses focused on participatory science.
“I’ve had a wonderful career at Extension, working with dedicated colleagues, passionate volunteers, and collaborative partners. It's been a dream job!" shares Malin.
She will be continuing some participatory science projects with New Hampshire Sea Grant in the coming year, as well as teaching alpine skiing at Gunstock Mountain Resort, sharing her love for the outdoors with people in a new way.
Thanks, Malin, for your service and commitment to Extension and congratulations, Charlotte, on your new leadership role!
