About the Event

Do you live in or near the Upper Valley and are interested in monitoring conserved properties including farms and forests? Join the Upper Valley Land Trust for this year's volunteer easement training so you can learn all you need to know about monitoring properties!

After you receive the training, you will be able to aid our stewardship team in meeting one of our most fundamental obligations – the annual inspection of conserved land.

This training will be broken up into two parts; first a zoom session to go over the basics and skills of monitoring conservation easements, and then an in-person training to get experience being out on an easement with a staff person. You must join the Zoom session before attending the in-person training. The in-person session will be hosted at UVLT's office in Hanover, NH.

To review the responsibilities of this volunteer position, please visit our volunteer webpage.

What to bring

For the in-person training, please bring water, snacks, appropriate footwear and clothing, and traction if needed.

Youth Instructions

Children under the age of 18 are allowed to attend, but must be accompained by an adult.
