About the Event
Join us at the beautiful Rocks Property to help "spruce up" the recreational areas for visitors to have a good experience in summer, fall, and winter. Oh wait...we grow fir trees there..."fir up" just doesn't have the same ring to it :)
Currently, The Rocks property has been re-open to the public since Nov of 2023. Many volunteer hands help to care for and provide educational events routinely at this property, but sometimes, there is just even more support needed on a targeted day. During this workday, you can expect there to be trail clearing, carpentry opportunities, painting, sign installation, etc. We hope you sign up and look forward to seeing you there!
What to bring
Please bring work gloves, plenty of water, lunch and wear closed-toed shoes. If you also have your own eye protection and hard hats, please feel free to bring your own. The Forest Society will provide work gloves, eye protection, ear protection and hard hats to anyone that needs. Coffee and morning snacks will also be provided.
Youth Instructions
Youth Volunteers 13-15 are welcome with a parent and volunteers 16-18 are welcome if forms are completed prior to the workday.
