About the Event
Join us for a discussion of sugar maple ecology in New Hampshire. As part of a new citizen science initiative on sugar maple regeneration, Hubbard Brook scientists, Cornell University students and Forest Society volunteers have begun to assess the survival success of sugar maple seedlings, as we follow a cohort of seedlings in forests throughout the state. We'll share what we have learned on the Forest Society properties and more long-term studies from Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, as well as what we hope to learn from following individual seedlings year after year. We'll have sweet treats and lemonade to share as well!
