About the Event
Monarch butterfly and insect populations are declining. But it's not too late. Our presenters, both Natural Resources Stewards, will share simple changes in your landscaping practices that will provide bees and butterflies with habitat (overwintering habitat, nesting areas and forage) they need to survive harsh weather and habitat changes caused by a warming climate. The program will begin with a photographic review of the seven types of wild pollinators you're likely to see in your own yard or community in New England. Both presenters are NH Natural Resources Stewards.
Vicki J. Brown is a Founding Organizer of Pollinator Pathways NH, a NH Natural Resources Steward, and a Coverts Volunteer. She is slowly turning her lawn into pollinator and wildlife habitat. She enjoys observing nature while walking, hiking, paddling and cycling.
Judith Saum is a Natural Resources Steward and a Rumney, NH resident who has transformed her yard into a pollinator oasis. Judith works closely with several New Hampshire groups, including Climate Action New Hampshire. Please be sure to sign up to receive the Zoom link!
