About the Event
Help plant over 1,500 native shrubs aimed to enhance habitat for the New England cottontail! Volunteers will help plant shrubs and learn about habitat restoration efforts! Activities will include digging holes for planting native shrubs and using loppers and hand-held saws for habitat improvement. Biting insects may be present. We have two 2.5 hour shifts, or people can come for the whole day, if they are interested (sign up for both shifts).
What to bring
Closed-toed shoes are required. Long pants, sun protection, and water are strongly encouraged. Gardening or work gloves are helpful if you already own them but will be provided if needed. Biting insects may be present.
Youth Instructions
All ages are invited to participate in this event. We will be located in the woods and parental supervision for young children is required.
