About the Event

Join us in harvesting and transplanting native dune vegetation to restore fragile habitat on Seabrook Beach! Dunes are such an important asset to our coastline. They provide habitat for wildlife, protect our communities from flooding, sea level rise, and coastal erosion to name a few.

On this first of two workdays (May 1 and 2), we will meet at Hampton Beach State Park and harvest plants from the common garden. These plants will be used to restore dunes during a planting workday scheduled for the following day, May 2, in Seabrook (sign up separately). Come learn about dunes, get sandy, and have fun!

A rain date for both days is scheduled for May 3.

What to bring

Snacks, water, and all planting tools and materials will be provided. Please dress for the weather; hat and gloves are highly recommended!
