Join us in harvesting and transplanting native dune vegetation to restore fragile habitat in Hampton, NH! Dunes are an important asset to our coastline. They provide habitat for wildlife, protect our communities from flooding, sea level rise, and coastal erosion to name a few.

On this first of two workdays (Oct 8th and 10th), we will meet at Hampton Beach State Park, learn about dunes and the Common Garden of Native Sand Dune Plants, and then harvest native beachgrass from the Common Garden. These plants will be used to restore dunes during a planting workday scheduled for two days later, October 10th, in the Sun Valley neighborhood of Hampton (sign up separately).
