About the Event

Participants will learn how to identify and manage invasive plant species like glossy buckthorn, burning bush, and honey suckle at Pigeon Hill Conservation Area. The goal of this workday is to help remove invasive plants from the forest understory to prevent them from establishing a foothold and to improve habitat for existing native plants.

What to bring

Volunteers should come prepared to perform manual labor for approximately two hours and should dress appropriately for work outdoors. Please bring your own water, snacks, and whatever else you need to work safely and comfortably. Participants may bring their own gloves and hand tools if so desired, but these items will be provided.
