About the Event

At Mount Misery Conservation Area, volunteers will participate in the ongoing invasive species management efforts along the shoreline of the first pond. Volunteers will learn invasive plant identification and best management practices for several common invasive plants such as bittersweet, glossy buckthorn, and honey suckle. The goal of this endeavor is to improve the habitat around the pond for the existing native species.

What to bring

Volunteers should come prepared to perform manual labor for approximately two hours and should dress appropriately for work outdoors. Please bring your own water, snacks, and whatever else you need to work safely and comfortably. Participants may bring their own gloves and hand tools if so desired, but these items will be provided.
