About the Event

At Codman South Conservation Area, volunteers will help remove invasive plants from the forest understory to help improve habitat for existing native species. Participants will learn how to identify and apply best management practices for a number of invasive plant species such as honey suckle, glossy buckthorn, burning bush, and bittersweet.

What to bring

Volunteers should come prepared to perform manual labor for approximately two hours and should dress appropriately for work outdoors. Please bring your own water, snacks, and whatever else you need to work safely and comfortably. Participants may bring their own gloves and hand tools if so desired, but these items will be provided.
