About the Event

Join members of the Bolton Conservation Commission and Sudbury Valley Trustees in combating invasive plant species at Bowers Springs Conservation Area. Land Stewardship Coordinator Matt Morris and Community Engagement Coordinator Jonathan Haarstick will help you to identify invasive plant species through a "Weed Warriors" style training. We will mainly focus on manual removal of Asiatic bittersweet, an established invasive at the property.

If you are a new volunteer with us a COVID-19 Safety Training should be completed prior to the event. The training is a 15 minute video that can be found here.

If the parking area is full please, we urge you to utilize one of the other trail heads into the Bowers Springs conservation area! Maps can be found at www.boltontrails.org or on the town website under the Conservation Commission page.

What to bring

Participants should dress appropriately; (Layers are suggested) long pants, insect repellent, hat, gloves, long sleeves, and appropriate footwear. We encourage participants to bring water, their own snacks, loppers, a shovel, bypass pruners, and weed wrenches. We will have some of these tools to hand out to volunteers.
