About the Event

A BioBlitz is a species scavenger hunt where volunteers help find and record data on as many different wild living things as possible in a certain area and a short amount of time. During September 2021, we need your help finding and documenting species (plants, animals, insects, fungi) found on town-owned lands all over New Hampshire using iNaturalist. Town-owned lands in New Hampshire are really special places that many community members might not know about and towns are often lacking data about the species found on the properties they own. The goal is to record as many species in as many New Hampshire towns/cities as possible. This is a statewide event and you can participate on town-owned lands right in your own community! Join us to learn more about the September 2021 NH BioBlitz, using iNaturalist to submit observations, and finding town-owned lands to explore in your community.

What to bring

Participants are encouraged to sign up for an iNaturalist account at www.inaturalist.org and download the iNaturalist app to your phone prior to the presentation. iNaturalist is free, fun to use, and can help you learn more about nature.
