About the Event

Join NH Fish & Game Wildlife Biologist Heidi Holman and UNH Extension Wildlife Conservation State Specialist Haley Andreozzi for an introduction and overview of butterflies in New Hampshire. We’ll provide information on what we know about butterflies in New Hampshire, an introduction to some of the more common species in the state, actions you can take to benefit butterflies and other pollinators, and useful resources. Participants will hear about opportunities to learn more, share their butterfly sightings, participate in data collection efforts, and volunteer as a group leader at summer butterfly counts.

This training is part of a series of six webinars hosted by the NH Butterfly Monitoring Network, a collaborative effort led by NH Fish & Game Department to engage volunteers in counting and identifying butterflies across New Hampshire. The series will provide information on butterflies in New Hampshire, butterfly biology and identification, and how to get involved with the NH Butterfly Monitoring Network. For more information and to register for the session(s) you want to attend (you don’t need to attend them all!), visit naturegroupie.org. All butterfly enthusiasts are welcome, with or without prior experience!
