About the Event
Bog bridges don’t last forever, but this is one of those locations where not much else will work. Come out and help us replace the old wooden puncheon with new sills and boards. These small but mighty bridges allow people to access this unique forest without sinking in up to the ankles. We will be replacing a couple of hundred feet of bog bridges, so please feel free to sign up and bring a friend! Although open to all skill levels, please note we will be running loud chainsaws, so people with noise sensitivity may have a difficult time.
What to bring
Just bring a backpack to store your lunch, water, and essentials for the day. Waterproof boots, and long pants and sleeves are recommended!
Tools and safety equipment will be provided by the Forest Society. Bring your own work-gloves if you have them!
Youth Instructions
Youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult - 16 and older must have parents/guardian sign our waiver
