About the Event
Registration is now open for the 12th Annual Beaches Conference for Maine and New Hampshire! Everyone with an interest in the region’s beaches is invited to gather at the biennial Beaches Conference to review the latest science, policy, and trends on the shore. For the second conference in a row, the focus will include New Hampshire as well as the beaches of Maine. On June 13th 2019, field trips will visit coastal locations where participants can experience and share project ideas. The conference will follow on June 14th 2019, covering topics such as marine debris, living shorelines, aquaculture, gear technology, findings from Maine and New Hampshire citizen science beach monitoring programs, and resilience mapping and planning.
Who Should Attend? Attendees of the event have included owners of coastal homes and businesses, state and municipal officials and staff, private consultants, non-profit organizations, real estate agents, attorneys, researchers, teachers, students, beach monitors, and all beach lovers. In 2019, event planners expect approximately 250 attendees.
Cost: $50 regular, $60 late, $65 day-of
