AMC's Highland Center, in Crawford Notch, is looking for new Information Volunteers to welcome visitors, orient them to the facility, give trail advice, help guests borrow hiking gear, and promote AMC's outdoor mission.

Essential Qualifications: recent experience hiking trails in the Crawford Notch area, ability to read trail maps, familiarity with hiking gear, a friendly personality, and the ability to communicate well with hikers from all backgrounds and all levels of hiking experience. Additionally, volunteers must be at least 18 years old, be AMC members (new members welcome!), and pass a criminal background check.

Training: Training includes an in-person day on Saturday, June 10th, as well as a few online sessions through Zoom in May. Optional, discounted lodging is available the weekend of June 10th.

Time Commitment: Volunteers commit to volunteering at least 4 days a year (additional volunteering is welcome!), for at least three years. The biggest need for new Highland volunteers is for summer weekends and/or weekdays, but volunteer opportunities are available year-round. New volunteers start in the summer.
