Description

The Rockingham County Conservation District and Hampton Falls Conservation Commission are inviting volunteers to help discover and document the incredible diversity of plants and wildlife at Raspberry Farm and the Town Forest. Throughout the year, volunteers can join the project in the iNaturalist app to photograph and record the plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms they encounter while exploring these properties.

Project Goal?
The goal of this project is to build a better understanding of the biodiversity present at Raspberry Farm and the Town Forest. Observations collected through iNaturalist will help document the species found on these properties, identify areas of ecological importance, and provide information to support the development of a Conservation Management Plan.

Where does the project take place?
The project takes place at the Raspberry Farm and Town Forest in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire.

When can volunteers participate?
Anytime from September 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027.

Is training needed to participate?
No training required to participate! The iNaturalist app helps users identify species, so participants of all experience levels are welcome to join.

Who is this project ideal for?
This project is ideal for anyone who enjoys exploring nature and is curious about the plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms found in their community. Experienced naturalists, families, students, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone interested in learning more about local biodiversity are all encouraged to participate.

How to get started?
